“Oh noes, there is an evil child after mah blood!” The maid panics, holding her heart and breathing heavily. Orlando contemplates doom whilst someone works out in the background.
Alejandra plays with the new toddler, Fioruccio. She makes up a fascinating story about bears but it is copyrighted to her so we will not write it here. Their bond gets stronger.
Orlando loves his new pink and purple bed and finds it very comfortable. He has sweet dreams about wicked stuff to do to the neighbourhood goldfish. He wonders when the neighbourhood will get REAL pets like cats and dogs… but only when that is avaliable and the Creator is as rich as you are, dahling.
Devon’s Never Nude trait makes for a Ned-Flanders style bath, with his shorts on! He is the only one so far with this trait, and it is quite hilarious to see him bathe in such a state. That is what comes with an elated sense of embarrassment.
Alejandra brings a DemonSim home with her from school, she says that the girl is interesting and has a deep passion for art like she does. They sit together doing their homework and chatting about how neither of them will ever leave their family homes, as the world was not meant for those as creative and beautiful as them. They’re not really emos though, just interesting sorts.
MORE fitness! “Yup, these old bones like to be rattled a bit on the treadmill.” Maia comments. Another certificate is on the wall, but I can’t make out what it is for. Probably art.
A typical Zanthia morning, chow time, reading time and time for Maia to cruise the house before the school bus comes.
Domingo spies a new girl in town and closes in on her. His suave voice and charm, in, only a few hours led to…
ENGAGEMENT?! What the hell? At least the sun had a chance to go down, on your BACHELORHOOD! What a slick mover!
Followed by a quickee wedding and a discussion of fake noses. “Are you a Cupid under an assumed nose?” She asks him, and he laughs.
Nothing says family bonding like swimming… eh Mr Insanity? Juanita watches him like a good parent would, as Devon swims around, showin’ his abs.
Carlos got up from his grandpa nap and floated to the mirror. FLOATED? ‘There be somethin’ wrong here’, he thought, without care for proper grammar. ‘Oh, that’s right, I’m about 120 now, it’s my time to die. But I dearly love my kids but I think the evil one must have poisoned me in my sleep or something.’
“You make a fine ghost” says Grim. “You have lived a great life, Carlos, and I congratulate you on your fine offspring. It’s time to join Grandma Maia in the nightly haunt.”
“I solemnly swear to look over my children with Grandma Maia. But please forgive Orlando for poisoning me.” Carlos pleads.”Orlando never did anything to hurt you, he loves and respects you, Carlos. Come to your urn and we will let your family bury your earthly ashes.” Grim replies, so Carlos accepts. “It’s my time.”
The family mourns a great man. Though Carlos never got his Lifetime Wish, for he was busy looking after the grandkids, he got a better tombstone than Grandma’s. Maia misses her husband the most.
Alejandra consoles her mum, giving her some wise words as one of the kids (I forgot who) plays the xylophone. No, it is NOT a glockenspiel.
She puts her emotional pain into helping Juanita stay in tip-top shape. Little Orlando passes by, sad. His negative energy wells deep within his brain, as he seeks something to take it out on.
Grandma Maia comes and checks up on her dear family, and how they are coping. She thinks they are doing quite well, but is not surprised. At least they will have the ghosts of their elders to console.
Maia takes some time alone with the headstone for private grief. This helps her out majorly, as it gives her inner peace that Carlos will be happier not stressing over evil Orlando.
Despite Alejandra becoming an adult, Carlos weighs heavy on their minds. But that is expected for a close-knit family. They’re still managing their grief pretty well, the house hasn’t be burned down yet.
Fioruccio’s Birthday! Hopefully this will cheer them up! Be happy! So, now it’s Makeover Time!
Alejandra gets a smart outfit to accentuate her brain power. She feels happy and confident about it, and ready to leap into adulthood, but not ready to leave the house. Not yet.
Fioruccio also looks Smart. But I don’t think he’s a genius. His traits are withheld for a surprise! (Same with Alejandra’s traits.)
But the birthday boom turns into deathday gloom. Looks like Maia could not stand being without Carlos so Father Time and Grim came a knockin’. She pleads for her life, but has achieved her Lifetime Wish and maxed the Athletic skill, so she really has no excuse. She learns to accept inevitability, and goes to her husband in the garden.
She gets a Monument for being a Monumental Mother (but that word has ‘mental’ in it!)
But we’ll leave on an upbeat… Juanita’s transition from Young Adult into Adult.
See the next chapter for more Zanthia antics!
